Rodents are mammals belonging to the order Rodentia, characterized by a single pair of continuously growing, sharp, chisel-like incisors in both the upper and lower jaws used for gnawing, eating, and defense. As the largest group of mammals (over 2,000 species), they include mice, rats, squirrels, beavers, and guinea pigs, usually featuring robust bodies and short limbs.
